On July 8th, while sitting in my ethical analysis class, the phrase context is king came to me… I was very excited by the phrase and quickly began to consider how I might use it for art making. Just as quickly, I suspected that I was not the first to come up with the string of words… a google search proved that I was not. Despite my general position that ideas are more communal than proprietary, I found that I was still disappointed with the fact that I hadn’t been the author of something unique… seems the desire to author and claim ownership of a new creation is a significantly strong one.
With this project I will attempt to come up with compelling phrases that do not already have a google result in the hopes that I can offer something new to thought or human experience relative to the google archive. If the phrase I think of already has a google search result, the phrase will be hyperlinked.
